A small clip holds the aluminum rod in place on the shifter, just as it would have held the original cable. Here we see the shifter in the Park position (all the way forward). Here we see the shifter in First Gear (all the way back). Note the throw from Park to 1st gear. It may be a while before I mount the decoder and hook it all up. That's the problem with real-time building; things happen in a mixed up order.
