Dash Clash – the Bowls are Trash
|
 Plans change. Sometimes I feel real stupid (my wife would think that should be all the time). While planning the recessed gauges I forgot to take into account the roll cage bar that resides behind the bottom edge of the dash. Well, at least I forgot to measure. The long piece of tape marks the top of the tube and there isn't enough room to sink them into the dash without mounting them too high to be aesthetically pleasing. The smaller strips of tape with hash marks designate switches.

 It looks like the two bowls I made WILL become cereal bowls (or part bins) and the gauges will be mounted normal, with the trim ring on the face of the dash. Even then, the gauges will be about 1/4-inch higher than I'd like. Oh well - it's less work this way. |
